Rhodamine B Rhodamine B hexyl ester, perchlorate
Storage : -20¡É MW : 627.17 Ex (nm)/Em (nm) : 556/578 Solvent : DMSO
Positively charged rhodamine dyes (such as rhodamine esters and rosamines) are selectively localized in mitochondria, thus they are widely used for labeling mitochondria of live cells. This particular rhodamine ester stains mitochondria orange in fluorescence. Its spectral properties are similar to those of TRITC, making the use of Rhodamine B hexyl ester quite convenient.
