EDANS sodium salt EDANS sodium salt [5-((2-Aminoethyl)aminonaphthalene-1-sulfonic acid, sodium salt]
Storage : -20¡É Ex (nm) / Em (nm) : 335 / 493 Solvent : DMSO
Molecular Formula : C12H13N2NaO3S Molecular Weight : 288.30 CAS Number/Name : 100900-07-0 / 1-Naphthalenesulfonic acid, 5-((2-aminoethyl)amino)-, monosodium salt
EDANS sodium salt is much more water-soluble than EDANS acid. It is one of the most popular donors for developing FRET-based nucleic acid probes (such as Molecular Beacons) and protease substrates. EDANS is often paired with DABCYL or DABSYL in FRET-based probes. Its fluorescence is environment-sensitive. |
